Over six months ago I got into moviepass thanks to my bro and I’ve used it more than my gym membership. I’ve been worming out my movie fanatic muscles and have realized something, the blockbusters are fillers and moneymakers, the lesser known flicks are what keep me going back.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved Man Of Steel and Wolverine, but they don’t move me like Mud and The Way Way Back. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe it’s because I’ve become desensitized to blockbusters because I’ve seen them all.

I want to feel for the characters and relate to them. I put myself in the shoes of the young teen in The Way Way Back and felt his frustration and solitude as he dealt with the crappy things that can be a part of life.

I want more movies like that. I loved them. I will buy them.

For anyone curious, moviepass is $30 a moth and I can see each movie on the theater one time. Signup for an invite Here if you are interested.
