iPod touch Best/Worst Apps

UPDATE!! My New Favorite iPhone/iPod Touch Best Apps Take 2

Well, it’s been over a week now with the iPod touch apps and I thought I’d share some of my favorites. If you’ve been like me you can’t stop looking at the app store and downloading new apps to give them a shot. Also trying to get rid of ones I don’t like so I don’t have tons of screens to flip through. I’m actually doing this blog from my iPod touch wordpress app! Score! Well here they are:

Enigmo- tons of fun
Monkey Ball- impressive graphics and gameplay
Crash bandicoot- great use of the accelerometer
Spinner- awesome
Banner Free-Fun to make banners(Who wants to make a belt buckle that will hold the iPhone-Don’t steal my idea and not give me some credit or advertising)
Bubbles-Just plain fun
Facebook-Works great
Phone Saber-Is very responsive to movement
Remote-I can control everyone at my works iTunes and upset them. So much fun.
Scratch-Its a very cool concept, mixing songs with a record to scratch sounds over it. I want to be able to scratch the actual song.
Tap Tap- One Player and Two player! Pretty fun
Aurora Feint- Great gameplay(although I stink at it) and AWESOME soundtrack

Twitterriffic- horrible laggy display
Maze- boring
Wordpress- please fix the side view so I can type faster
To be quite honest I just deleted several apps I found useless and at this moment I’m too tired to search them out and let you know which one’s they are

3G iPhone All Nighters

Welp, the guys from Jake Marsh and many others spent a day and night waiting for the 3G iPhone. With their patience and chilling out with their Macs and first gen iPhones they were featured on You can actually watch these guys live on this stream right now here. I will look forward to reviews of the new GPS and how well it works with Loopt and all that jazz.

Online Video provided by Ustream

I scan the internets for new and upcoming music all of the time. One of my biggest providers of fresh rare content is suprisingly iTunes free download. They have given me singles of the week with bands such as The Fray, Jamie Lidell, Metro Station and more.

Recently I’ve been on a kick of trying to find more new artists and here are some folks i’m pretty impressed with!

Eric Hutchinson has catchy fun lyrics, my wife claims they sound like Jump Little Childrens’ lead singer, and I just enjoy the generally upbeat of their songs like this one, “Rock and Roll”

My next favorite artist on the rise is Sam Sparro, who had a featured download on iTunes a few weeks ago of this song, “Black and Gold”. He reminds me a lot of Prince in some of his other tunes.

And my last artist on the extremely fast rising star is Marie Digby. I remember watching her cover of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” in front of her couch with an acoustic guitar just a little over a year ago seen here.

And in just 1 year, thats right 1 year, she has gotten a featured video on MTV and a record deal because of her millions of views. Glad to see someone who can play an instrument and sing at the same time and this music video is pretty nifty as well.

I will update some more of my favorites here soon but I can tell you those are some of the bands I will be jamming to for awhile… Wait! I can’t leave out my most outplayed album right now. JUSTICE! With this creative video using Poker Chips to the song, Waters of Nazareth

Jim Gaffigan Holidays

Here is a little bit from Jim Gaffigan on Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, Valentines and some other holidays. He is my favorite standup comedian and I’ve listened to this more than you can imagine. Anywho, hope everyone has a great 4th of july and laughs out loud about this!

Vodpod videos no longer available.
